Gauge pressure question

1) Say if you have a container filled with liquid that is open to atmospheric pressure, and you are trying to measure gauge pressure at certain point below the liquid.
Is the answer 0 for gauge pressure or pgh?
I’m confused because for a closed container the gauge pressure at a certain point below the liquid would be pgh, and just want to confirm if it will be the same for “open container”.

In both cases gauge pressure is P = ρgh only. Not necessary to account for atmospheric pressure unless you want absolute or total P.
