Have a question...if one didn't get a high school diploma and took GED test to get into college.. will that have any effects on the admissions committee???(with 3.8 and 96 PCAT) I was just wondering????

Should it, no. Will it, maybe. There is no doubt that the GED still holds a certain stigma in some circles. I personally know several people that have a GED, not because they were kicked from school, but because they were home schooled/non-traditionally schooled prior to the big kick in the 90s.

Depending on the situation, I would be ready for the questions about the GED but I wouldn't mention it nor would I address it in an essay that doesn't specifically require highschool mentioned.

I think your PCAT and GPA more than speak for the fact you can handle the work. There are many reasons a person would recieve a GED rather than graduate from highschool. I wouldnt mention it unless they bring it up.
