GED, Concordia College, and med school

Anyone here who has attained a GED, gone to night school at universities, and got accepted at medical schools? I knew of one pharmacy student at who, because of life's circumstances didn't have a good educational background, worked hard, and still made it.

While it is not the GED, I took the California State Proficiency Exam and left high school when I was 16...I don't have a high school dipolma. I didn't do all university night classes but my university experience was pretty varied (to say the least). The schools that asked a lot of questions about my background put me on their waitlist, but those that never asked about it accepted me.
