georgetown ranking?

for whatever rankings are worth (if anything), has georgetown ever been ranked? i didnt see them on the current US News list, but maybe they don't submit the neccessary stats?? when i visited, they struck me as having a solid program.

they were #39 in 1999, for research i would guess.
they were #44 in 2000.
they were not in the top 50 for 2002.
i'm not sure why their ranking has dropped so much. maybe someone knows? not that it means much anyway...

wow, I never noticed that their ranking dropped so rapidly and drastically. perhaps it is related to their recent financial difficulties?

Overall, they have one of the best reps in the country. However, for their med school, they did drop off the list last year. I think that helps to prove that a lot of getting on the usnews list involves giving money to the right people (as has been suggested time and time again). Gtwn has had some financial problems last year (as someone else pointed out) and probably didn't have the money to pay off someone from usnews! 😉

And that goes for all of the schools on the list....not just gtwn.

That seems to be the case.....after losing like 250 mil in a few years. Isn't their avg. student debt now like 130K or something? Bleh.
