German Medical School possibilities

I am in a 4 year engineering college getting my degree right now with great grades and EC etc. However, I am also a German citizen alongside being a US citizen. I have also taken the German test that allows me to study in Germany, Sprachdiplom II on the C level. How would I go about applying to German medical school? Would they take me? How would I be disadvantaged if I wanted to do residency in the US? Thanks.

Well, for one you're be treated like every other IMG, unless you go to a top German medical school and have had some good research exposure.

Apart from that you would have to get high Step scores and get some USCE just like everyone else.

So if you can, try going to medical school in the US as that would be help you in the future should you want to pursue a competitive specialty.
