Getting Married the Week After Medical School

Hi - I'm getting married the week after medical school. I've decided to change my name to Dr. Myfirstname Mylastname Hislastname so I can keep the significant publications that I have attached to my maiden name but still go by his name socially and professionally. Does anyone know if changing my name a week after graduation will give me extra work as far as licensing goes? I'm trying to figure out if we need to quietly get married a few weeks early just so I can avoid the expense and trouble. Thanks!

You dont get licensed till step 3 and depends on your state as well.

The only extra work is him filing for divorce before this happens
