Getting out of Linkage Agreement

I was curious if anyone on the board knew about someone or has experienced for themselves in trying to get out of linkage agreement? I do not mean this as not making the reqired GPA or MCAT, but just merely realizing you may not be ready for the MCAT at a certain time, not ready to start so soon (and had to link in the fall), or just want a year to really make sure you know what you are doing?

And yes, I do know they are contractual agreements, but the contract has some wiggle room in it.
