Anyone know how we get paid for the 4 days of leave we acrue during the 6 weeks AD? I hate to bother the HPSP folks, they're awful busy, I'm sure!

Thanks!

you don't get paid for it. Sorry. You do get a free week of vacation at the end, though, with active duty pay.

The NAVMEDEDTRACOMINST 1520, otherwise known as the Navy HPSP Handbook, specifically states that you acrue 4 days of leave during the active duty period; "...you will not be authorized to take this leave during your AT assignment. You will however be paid for that leave via Direct Deposit. Prior active duty members who have already been paid for 60 days acrued leave cannot be paid for their leave."

The 4.0 days appears on my LES as USE/LOSE and I just want to know how I get paid for it!!

I took a campus tour this past year and accrued leave. I was automatically paid for it, albeit a few months later. I know this is the AF policy... not really sure how the Navy works.

I'm not sure about this, but I think I've been told that officers can only sell back leave once in their careers (anyone know for sure?). If thats the case, I wouldn't want to waste it on 4 days.

I think mine was paid back automatically. I didn't carry any days on the books. GMO 52, I just got back from your neck of the woods! Great weather.
