I submitted my amcas in the first week of august. I still have not hear ANYTHING from any UC. should i just await rejection letters?

yes probably. sorry, i havent had luck with the ucs either.

also, you can call the office and they will tell you whether you were reviewed or not. they dont say specifically over the phone that you are rejected, but you know by their tone and usage of words 🙁

Don't give up yet, I took the Aug MCAT. I just got the UCLA secondary on 10/18 and the Irvine on 10/19.

It takes time. For me, Irvine was the quickest, followed by Davis, LA, then SD... still waiting for UCSF (I submitted AMCAS in June!!)

dont give up people, im an august mcater and i just got sec. for la, irvine, sd, and davis this week.. hang in there, they're slow i know.

Turned in primary a day before august mcat, got UCdavis 2 days ago and UCI and UCLA just yesterday. but get reasy hon cos UCLA is asking for about 8 essays. I am an undergrauate there but i think they can sometimes go over the top.

The UCLA secondary is bad, but the Davis one is so much worse. And the UCLA essays are optional. You're told right off the bat to only fill out the relevant essays. I only filled out like 6 of them. Good luck!

If UCLA doesnt request a secondary, how long will it take on the status page for it to say "rejected"?

The reason I ask is because I just called the admissions committee about the status of my apps and all she said was "you will hear from us shortly whether you were requested a secondary or not. You will receive a mail but it will also show up on the status page." Her tone didnt sound all too great but the overly hopeful person I am is thinking "isnt ucla notorious for sending rejections a lot later than 'soon'?"

i dunno... maybe i'm overanalyzing her every word too much. I feel like a high school boy with a crush analyzing every single word the girl wrote in a letter.

I just got the UCSD secondary 10 minutes ago and I'm an August MCATer so there may still be hope. They are clearly still looking at applications.
