How long does it usually take DFAS to give you you're much deserved GMO bonus after you finished internship? days, weeks, months?? inquiring minds with much needed student loan/debt would like to know 👍

Usually on time....within a couple days of the date of the contract, but sometimes....it can be months before you receive it, but they will treat it like you received it on the date of the contract.

1-2 weeks. I haven't had problems with it. Submit your request prior to the end of internship. Our command did our class as a whole, rather than individually.

Do you receive a check in the mail or is it direct deposited electrnically like your regular pay from DFAS?

Direct deposited. As interns, our hospital would process the paperwork in late May or early June. I submitted mine this year in mid-May and got paid on time.
