I am gathering info about Navy GMO tours and have a question... As I understood, USUHS graduates, after completing GME-1 (internship), can go on for a GMO or FS tour that can last 2-3 years, after which they may continue with their respective residencies. Now will the time spent on GMO or FS tour go towards their 7 years of obligatory service after the residency, i.e. they'll have to spend only 4-5 more years on AD after residency completion? Or 7 years after residency still apply even with GMO tour under the belt?
