I graduated college with a 3.60 overall gpa in Logistics. I have a strong desire to go back and take all the prereqs for dental school. My one caveat is that I took chemistry my first semester of college, did not go to class and received an F in the class. I received and A in the lab.

Will I still have a strong chance of getting into Dental school with that F I received 5 years ago as long as I ace the rest of the science courses? Or is an F a death sentence for these applications? (Referring to sGPA)

Thank you

I had an F and a few W's. I was also a supply chain major. I retook the class and did a master's and it worked for me.

Oh, I definitely plan on retaking the class. From my understanding this does not replace the grade.

You can average it to a C if you ace your retake. Weigh that with another 60 or so pre-req credits of A's and ur gucci
