Going Straight to the Adcom

I sent in my secondaries fairly late in the game ( complete middle to end of october). So far I have heard nothing from my undergraduate institution. I work in the Med School every day, and am cometitive here. Would it be ridiculous to walk into the admissions office to "check" on how my file is doing, and maybe let them know how anxiously I am awaiting word from my first choice (them)?
