My goodness, I'm going to Kansas to have an interview on Monday. I couldn't believe that I'm still having interview this time of the year. I don't think that is a good sign at all. They insisted to have a face-to-face interview so I'll be going there next week. Are you guys all done with your interviews? How did they go? Has anyone had interivew at KU?? How was it?
Wish me luck guys :scared:

Good luck Clachan! Wow...May interviews!

Best of luck. Just don't mention you're a Roy Williams fan, and you'll be just fine.😉

If they are still interviewing, then they must still be accepting students. There is no reason for a school to waste their time and money (and yours) by interviewing someone who they don't want to accept. So, in short, if you're invited to interview you are being considered for admission. Put your best foot forward and good luck to you, I know schools that interview until June...

As jdpharmd? said, they wouldn't be interviewing you if they didn't want to accept you. I did my undergrad at Kansas, so if you have questions about the area or KU in general, let me know. (I'm not in the pharmacy school, so I can't answer any questions about that.) Good luck!!

*bump*

How'd it go, clachan?

Thank you sooooo much for everybody's messages. The interview took longer an hour and I was invited to have a short tour. I liked their campus a lot. The environment was so comfortable, I wish I could go there for school, but I received a letter from KU after I got accepted by Purdue, so I guess it kind of went back to my original plan, only it happens one year later than I intended. I'm now in the Class of 2007. Thanks again everyone. :luck:

KU is the most ill prepared school i have ever dealt with. i applied there and waited....waited...and waited for them to give me a response. finally i started calling them weekly. it was mid-june!

all i wanted to know was whether i was going to be granted an interview. they kept telling me that they were swamped with applications and it might be a while. i had already had 2 other interviews and been accepted to both schools.

finally the last time i called they told me that i was not going to be offered an interview. yeah... i'm pretty sure it was due to their unpreparedness and unprofessionalism, not my lack of qualifications.

beware!

😱 That bites, Golf.

At a pre-pharmacy club meeting this month, KU's assistant pharmacy dean said that they don't even start looking at applications till after the deadline (Feb 1). Personally, I think this is a bad strategy for a program that gets over four hundred applicants in a year. They either need to change the deadline or start giving preference to people who get their apps in early.

However, the pharmacy school did get a new dean this past April, so hopefully things will change.

Heh. Try telling this to some of the PharmCAS schools who aren't on rolling admissions and who received 1000+ apps last year! 😉
