Hello,

After many months of research and college visits, I finally decided on Case Western for my undergraduate education. Now that I've made this decision, could you please offer any advice for me as far as what to expect and watch out for as a pre-med. student? I have heard mixed reviews about this school and would like to know what your experiences have been. I appreciate all your help.

Thanks!

not worth it unless you got a scholarship or got into the 8 year program.

Any positive advice? I have already made the commitment.

Thanks.

You're going to have to be aggressive in making fun situations for yourself, because the campus is not as social as other colleges. It will help if you have a car on campus as a lot of stuff is not in immediate walking distance.

I went to CWRU for both undergrad and med school. I ended up with about 30k in loans for the entire degree and I did not have a scholarship. My financial aid was good primarily because I came from a pretty poor background. Med school was a different story.

CWRU prepared me well for the med school process. I was accepted at a few schools early in October of the application year, although I think this is more indivudal based than on what school you went to.

What do you want? You signed on the dotted line. Enjoy your summer. Practice your own version of pre-college chemistry and worry about this stuff come August.

you got most of my opinions before, but since i just graduated from good ol' case two days ago, i'll reiterate: college no matter where you go is what you make of it. there are opportunities there that you just have to go out and find - it is possible.

good luck!
