I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good Immunology text and a Histology atlas.
thanx

Janeway for Immuno and Wheater's for Histo. Janeway is a really great Immuno text...very concise which is my favorite attribute in a med school text.

Janeway is good. However, I thought Kuby's Immunology was easier to understand.

Personally I really liked Kuby for immuno. Good writing and excellent figures. Used it in college and med school.

I liked the Immuno section in the Lange: Immuno & Micro book because it is way shorter than a full immuno text and pretty straightforward.

As for histo, Wheater's is the way to go. Though I can't say mine made it off the shelf all the much...........

i like benjamini for immuno and junquiera for histo

Immunology: A Short Course by Coico et al. is pretty readable.

janeway is good. depending on how good your lectures are (and if you go to them) you might be able to just use the case book for immunology and not the entire text. plenty of people just did that in our course.

oh, and for histo -- WHEATER'S. i wholeheartedly agree. it's the best.
