I'm in the process of working on an ophthalmology case report (falls most closely in the realm of neuro-ophthalmology). The focus of the report is partly educational and fairly straightforward. Can anyone suggest the names of a few journals that might fall into some type of "less rigorous/less hardcore/more student friendly" sort of category that I should consider when it comes time to submit the report for publication? As a reference point, my sense is that the case lacks the kind of detail that a publication such as the Journal of Neuro-Ophthalmology might be seeking.

Thanks

Consider publishing in the Journal of Ocular Pathology. It's a new peer-reviewed journal headed by a very strong editorial board: www.journal-ocular-pathology.com

The journal will publish papers of academic interest. The editor will require a complete review of the literature on your disease entity. I am certain of this because I am the assistant editor for the journal.

Best,
Andy D.
