I called AMCAS today to find out whether my transcripts had been received. After waiting only 5 minutes (I thought I was dreaming), I spoke with a fairly competent specialist. He also told me that they are transmitting EDP applications now and the regular applications next week. Well, my friends, it looks like the wheels are finally in motion! 😀

Transmitted, NO. Processed, also NO. I'm EDP with transcripts verified, but still not much progress on my app other than MCAT scores. Maybe tomorrow...Here's hoping.

Don't get your hopes up guys...

AMCAS has made a lot of empty promises..

Remember these:

"AMCAS 2002 will be available May 1st"

"The 1st day to submit will be June 1st"

"We will be improving application performance within the coming *weeks*" ... but actually took them 2 months.

"AMCAS is confident that we will be transmitting applications by July 15th"
Ummm... it's July 26 already.

So... like I said...don't believe everything AMCAS says.
