I'm having knee surgery tomorrow morning to repair a torn medial meniscus that I've been limping around on since February. This coming week is a scheduled week off from rotations, so this seemed like a good time to get it done. I'll be doing my next rotation on crutches.

My computer is upstairs, so I won't be getting online after today. I'm not sure when I'll be climbing stairs.

Good luck with the surgery. Feel better soon, Dana!

If you die we split your gear? Your empathy is overwhelming. What a good
choice for a health care professional.

Take care Dana

Perhaps you can do rehab in your $100,000 swimming pool. 😀

Let's not talk about the huge hole in my backyard. They dug the hole, put in part of the steel cage then disappeared. Now it's been raining every frigging day and the hole is filling back up with mud. They'll have to remove the steel and start over. It will give me something to watch.

why don't you move down your computer and you can kill the boring time on bed

Good luck for rehab 🙂

Be strong! Get better soon.

Sending you happy thoughts!!!

Good luck for a fast & speedy recovery!

Think of how useful you'll be with pain management & crutch training in the future (always thinking of possibilities.....) 🙂

Get a laptop and wireless router from Costco then return it next week. It's better than sitting around watching Jerry Springer for a week...you can take only so many boyfriends cheating with their girlfriends toothless mothers.

Okay, my husband hooked me up to the wireless network. Good thing my laptop is not a Dell. I wouldn't want to catch on fire.

I'll be back online in a couple of days. Thanks for the good thoughts.

Good Luck with the Surgery. I hope everything goes well, and remember you can always get up the stairs by sliding butt first. It worked for me when I broke my feet.

Well, I have two Dell laptops with three different batteries in total, and none are included in the recall. So you might be one of the lucky ones, too. 😉

Hello Dana:

Get well soon.

It really does suck that life seems to always occur when one is in school.

Hope to hear from you soon,

Thanks for the well wishes. Everything went well. I woke up in PACU screaming in pain. They got me 4mg of morphine which reduced my pain down to an 8. I ended up getting 10mg plus a percocet, then they gave me crutches and sent me on my way.

Yesterday morning I fell and hurt my left elbow. Crutches and percocet don't mix!

I'm doing good today. I haven't had any pain meds this morning and my husband brought down my laptop.

They are also spraying the gunite in my pool this morning!

You said you were saying goodbye for awhile! Enjoy your Percocet sleepiness & stay put where you belong! 😀 You don't need to have an elbow exploration in a few years!

Aren't you supposed to be keeping something elevated??????? 😛

You'll get bored soon enough...but...for now...watch Oprah, old movies, read a juicy novel, take naps & watch the pool boys work spraying the gunite 😉

Enjoy, be careful & have a safe recovery. Stay off the crutches! 😀 In no time you'll be doing your rehab exercises in your new pool...... 😎

I'm a little late to the party, but glad to hear that you came out of surgery in one piece. Wishing you a speedy recovery (and maybe a few cute pool workers to ogle in the meantime). 😛
