got my toefl score

hi ..,
i got my toefl score yesterday..its depressing...85 equivalent to 223 cbt.i know most of the uni. require 230 as a minimum 🙁 .so my whole stat is like..
nbde part 1...92
ece....2.86
6 mon exp in india and no rewards during college .
i dont know what are my chances now.my whole application is looks dull.
should i apply to colleges or retake toefl.i have applied upenn but no news by them.

hi vinita, there's nothig for u to worry about. gr8 nbde 1 score and most of the colleges require min 213 toefl. so u r good.

You have a great Part 1 score. You can always re-take TOEFL. I think you need to wait one month for that. But why dont you try applying to colleges in the mean time? You can always send them the improved scores later on. As for your GPA, its good but if you want to improve it a bit, u can try WES. Some colleges just consider Part 1 scores and some need a GPA more than 3 along with the Part 1 scores. Many students here have scored higher GPA with WES. Its coz WES does not consider number of attempts. Call individual colleges to check their requirements. Be confident. You can do it. Good luck!

thanx for wishes.I took the exam in oct.I used kaplan review book,some previous papers and net.sorry i cant tell u nything abt dental decks..as i didnt used them.

i suggest u to retake ur toefl!itz just a toefl,buddy!u can do it!bu asks for 250 or more!all the best!
