I was originally intending on applying to pharmacy school this fall, but right now I'm not sure if pharmacy is the career I want to go to, and am heavily considering medical school.
Right now, my plan is to graduate in May 2016, BS in biochemistry. My GPA is around a 3.2, and I've got so many credits at this point its unlikely i'll be able to raise it.
I haven't taken the MCAT yet, but I took the PCAT for pharmacy school and got in the 99th percentile. I'm still a full-time student, but I also work as a clinical scribe at a local emergency department.
I'm thinking of sticking around a year for grad school, mostly doing research and hopefully cranking out a paper or two while applying for med school to matriculate in 2018. Right now I feel pretty insecure about my GPA, and am trying to figure out which places would be realistic aspirations for me.
I'm still not entirely sure what else I need to be looking for with regard to individual medical schools; if anything, I'd like to stick around California, but anything goes at this point, which includes either MD or DO. My end goal is to be able to come back to working in the ER, so Davis is the first place that came to mind, but again, still not sure.
