Hi!
I was just wondering how medical schools view my specific GPA trend. My freshman year was hectic, I had suffered through depression due to the fact that my best friend and grandma suddenly passed away within my first semester, getting me with a 3.19 semester GPA while the second semester I was slowly picking myself up with a 3.4 GPA. Say my second and third year are all around 3.8~3.9 semester GPAs, is this a good upward trend that would help me get into some good out of state medical schools? (presumably of course along with my mcat score and building up my app). I know it may sound presumptuous but I've had bad experience in my home state, and I'm extremely passionate about going to medical school, and I want it to be out of state and in a good school as well. Just wondering for some input~~
A Nike-swoosh shaped GPA trend is very common. So chill.
