hi,

Congratulations on your interview calls. I would be applying to GPR programs in 2007 and I was just wondering how difficult it is to get into a program.

What kind of NBDE scores and GPA do they look for.

Also which of the schools are good for GPR and which ones are easier to get into.

Would be really greatful for the insight

thanks

I seriously do not think they put much emphasis on the board scores or GPA, i have a 3.2 GPA and a 84 on the boards. Not the best or worst, kind of in-between. They really look at your letters and your experience and your motivation. Not sure which programs are easy to get into, but OSU programs looks great! Lots of conscious sedation, OR, and compromised patients if thats what you want to do....you really have to check out the program and see if its what you want to do. The program experiences vary greatly.

Awesome GPR program!! We (6 residents) are very happy with the program. I have learned an enormous amount and my operative speed has increased exponentially. The call schedule is quite light and the pay is apparently the highest in the country. Please look into it if you are looking for a hidden gem!
