Are current residents still getting paid even when they can't perform clinical procedures due to COVID19 lockdown? Will this clinic "time off" delay your graduation?
GPR Residents are in a very good spot right now!
--Being paid
--Still seeing patients. (Not a full schedule but seeing patients none the less.)
--Full use of the best PPE available.
--Top notch guidance and support system for dealing with these pandemic challenges in house.
--"Built in" screening system for patients.
No cut in pay, very few patients (I'm in the tristate area), but we're still in the clinic for about 30 hours/week for lectures and the occasional emergency. No remote learning. No expected delay in graduation.

But you likely aren't getting the same clinical experience resulting in education for private practice, no? If you are in the spot where you see sufficient patients to benefit from a 1 year hiatus from working private practice that is a great scenario.
