I am looking at possible GPR and AEGD programs and need info on them, I know you can buy the bood from ADA, but is there any other good online source for information? The ADA's link doesn't work

Also what are the real strengths of each style of type of program (AEGD vs GPR) for a future General Dentist who just wants to broaden his skills?

Try this for starters: adea.org

Then click on the PASS link, and then choose the Program Search Engine.

That will at least allow you to view most of the programs you are interested in. Many of them also have direct links to their websites. And, while that info may not be current, it gives you a good jumping off point and at least gives you some contact phone numbers.

AEGD is *traditionally* an extended year of dental school (in most ways) and associated with a dental school. A GPR is *traditionally* associated with a hopsital (rather than a dental school) and will focus on treating medically-compromised patients.
