If you retake a class that you received a low grade in and that college removes the original grade from your gpa calculation how does amcas figure that in your GPA? Will both the grades be figured into their calculations?

For example you get a D in a HS college credit class and retake the class and get an A how will that show on your AMCAS application?

AMCAS counts both grades as two separate classes. For example, let's say each class is 4 units however it is a repeat, your GPA is calculated as 8 total units. The grades are not averaged. My appeal was denied four times with this issue.

I have a B in caluclus 1 that I took during the summer of my freshman year in highschool. Had I known that it would eventually lower my GPA 7 years in the future, I would have taken it. I swear.

Its a bad news for me as i have repeated couple of classes of my first and second semester.
