Hey guys,
I'm new to the forum 🙂 I'm a junior and will be applying for Class of 2011.
I'm choosing my courses for next semester and I'm debating if what I take next semester would affect my admissions decisions.

1. If I submit my application in the summer and take completely non-science courses, would it possibly look bad on my admissions profile? (I've taken many sciences through my 3 years of college)

2. Would med schools even ask for my Fall semester transcript prior to waitlist/primary admissions decision?

Thanks in advance. 🙂

The only thing that can really affect anything is if you fail a class. If you do really good, you could send an updtate letter with your grades inclosed.

I disagree. D's can also affect your admission.

You should be safe with a C or higher.

Agree. Some acceptance letters explicitly require C or better in all remaining coursework. And most schools want copies of your final official transcripts prior to matriculation.

Technically a D is considered failing too, since you can't go up to the next higher level class with anything less then a C-. At least that's the case at our school.

Thanks a lot, guys! 🙂

In my book, anything less than an A- is a failure. But that's just how I roll 😉
