i just found out i graduated cum laude from my undergrad instituition - is there any way i can let the med schools i applied to know....should i call them, email them, send something to amcas.....i know cum laude is a dime a dozen....but everything helps.....only have 2 interviews so far so i need some help!

if you got cum laude b/c your gpa is obviously high, then it may be pointless since they know what it is....nonetheless, you can write them update letters, or you can just email them (depending on the school)

earlier in the year when i got a new job after already sending in secondaries i emailed 3 of my schools. 2 of them responded saying congrats, we'll put it in your file, the other one never said a word. if all you really want to say is that you got cum laude, then email would be my choice

Yep, they'll see it in your gpa. No need to mention it.

it isnt so obvious from my amcas gpa bc i have grades from other schools and amcas doesnt calculate and report the gpa at your home school separately.

then do it up, it's not as if it will hurt to update them
