Original Question
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing in hoped that you will be able to offer me some tailored
advice.
I graduated, Magna cum Laude, with a BS in Marketing from ________
College in 1997.
Since that time I have been working in the business field, but I've decided
that it doesn't hold my interest.
I haven't taken courses that would be considered prereqs, and I'm not very
close with any of my old professors.
Do I have a chance? Will it be extremely difficult for me to get into
Medical School?
Are there some schools that cater or have a history of accepting people
from different backgrounds?
Are there ways to get financial aid if you are not the ideal candidate?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Sincerely,
__________

Answer from Dr. Henderson: Sure: you can get in. You need to take the
basic prerequisites found on the following page:
medicalstudent.net.... classes

You also need letters of recommendation... since you did so well in college,
I suggest getting at least a couple from your old professors on file as soon as
possible. Also try to get a couple from professors when you take your
prerequisite classes. Finally, you also see the following page:

medicalstudent.net... older applicant
