What do I have to know about the growth arrest in cell cycle for MCAT? Is it that some mature cells are arrested at G0 and never enter G1 and that cells that don't pass G1 check-point gets arrested at G0? Thanks in advance!

I honestly believe you only have to know about G0/G1, S, G2, M phases... and what the M phases are, such as PMAT...

i THINK maybe the furthest you need to know is that its mainly controlled by cyclins that get degraded, but i think that still way more than necessary.

As far as I know, G0 = G1, in essence. In other words, cells locked in G0 are stuck in G1, for all practical purposes.
