So I have a patient who I'm gradually realizing may utilize the placebo effect rather well in his life. Is there a physiological reason why the administration of exogenous growth hormone (from one of those anti-aging deals) alleviate tinnitus (which was probably caused by trauma)? Any ideas? Pt is no longer taking it and the tinnitus came back.
This is one of the many things I'm spending time looking up for this patient and low on my priorities... but curious nonetheless, so I'd love your input if you have an idea.
Caboose.
