Looking for some advice...
GW is my first choice. I have sent them three update letters since being put on the waitlist back in the fall. The most recent was May 12th. I'm feeling super anxious that I haven't got a call and feel terrible just sitting and waiting. I really don't have anything more to say though, so it doesn't seem like I should write another letter. I already told them all about what I'm doing, how I love their school and why, how I'd withdraw all my other apps if I get in, etc...
I also don't have any additional recommendation letters to send, so I can't do that.
Should I just keep trying to be patient or is there something else I should do?
Restless,
Brutus

you should make a trip to the school and tell them how badly you want to go there in person. i think that would make a difference. it did for me.

good advice. i'm in california though, so it's kind of hard for me. however, i think i'll try to do that if i haven't got in by the end of june. in the meantime, do you think it's worth it to just send another letter stating something like
"i'm writing to reiterate my desire to attend gwu and hope for an acceptance to my first choice school very soon"

or is it just harassing? i know different schools are different about this stuff...

thanks!

Hang in there, Brutus! I am sure that good news will come your way soon. A guy that goes to GW said that there is a big deposit due on the 20th and some spots will open up then. A lot of the waitlists are just now starting to move and there were several people accepted to GWU late in the summer last year. There is still hope yet!

Mugatu, I just PM'd you for some more info on how to set up a second trip. Did you get to meet with someone in Admissions?

Thanks for the encouragement Medical123!

I guess I will try to be patient and just hope my other letters make an impact.
