Hail To The Redskins!

I feel this way about the spurs. I don't ever want to see them play in real life again unless I can get spurs sweat on me when they are toweling off. 😀

🙂) How you survive out there with no NBA team is beyond me. 😉

It's great to see the skins in the playoffs with Gibbs at the helm - kind of reminds me of the glory days with Thiesman, Riggins, Monk, etc. I hope this is the start of a new DC dynasty!

Well "Glory Road" is coming out this month about "our team". Suppposed to be a good movie. 😍

I saw the Spurs game a couple of months ago. They lost to the Mavs.

Texas and BB, do you think there is *any* way I am missing this? *rolls eyes* I even saw Friday night lights.

While I love NYC, my heart will always be in Tx. And am looking forward to coming back s/p fellowship.

Oh, don't mind that they are champions or that they are number one in the SW. 😉

And what most people don't understand, is that we Spurs fans love them no matter what: win, lose, doesn't matter. They are spectacular (and lovely guys as well)

And the only way you could make me jealous is if Manu fell on your lap during one of his stunning rebounds (or really if he fell on your lap under any circumstances...😀)

Oh, adn we wil win the championship again.

It's ok, we're only 1 game back. The Spurs won't get past the Pistons this time, anyway. Billups will get MVP.

SA 👍 Big D 👎. You can take the boy out of SA, but you can't take SA out of the boy!

No need to hate. We're all from the same state.

Its getting very old agreeing with you all the time. 😛

I am with you on the big D 👎 Lived there for to many years. And while a few things are enjoyable, in general 👎 and really, Cuban is one of the most annoying owners every. I wanna watch Phoenix trample them.

And Detroit will lose, again. 😀

Phoenix won't stomp anyone....this year should be exciting!!! Mavs Rule!!!

Hey since this is a bball chat.. How about my hometown heat..They just need some time to gel. Shaq, D Wade, Antoine, the Glove.. They are just getting ready. Watch the 2nd half people!

Oh and Quinn thank my hometown Miami Hurricanes for your W yest, Moss, Sean Taylor and C Portis. 2 of the 3 are Dade County boys!

Just and FYI, I went to a bball game and sat in the skybox. Thats sucks! Thank god we didnt pay for the tix. I sat up close and personal and while you cant see all the finer points of the game I think it is better.. Ill pass on Manu and T Parkers sweat but I wouldnt mind having Parkers gf (finacee) Eva sit on my lap! (dont let my wife know)

Tool, you have to wait for Amare Stoudamire to come back before you say that, he is a top 5 player in the NBA.

IMHO Duncan #1, Garnett #2, Shaq #3, Amare #4, D Wade # 5(homerism?), Lebron #6, kobe #7, Dirk #8....

That should be controversial enough! Esp with Dallas people on here..

Walker will really help with all of his missed 3's, and Gary Payton is way too old to keep this up.

You'll just have to hope that Shaq's arthritic big toe doesn't act up again.

On the other hand, D-Wade is a stud.

Garnett?

Ha....he's really proven he can carry his 15-16 T'Wolves, just like last year.

I really like garnett. The problem is, he doesn't have a strong enought team around him. He is an awesome player, but as the crappy placed Lakers have shown with Kobe- one person doesn't make a bball team. Kobe may be good but he is a lame overall player. Anyone who plays team sports should realize that its a TEAM. Not a showcase... *tries not to hate Kobe*

Thing is you need 2 all star caliber players to win it all. This is how it has been for the last 10-15 years for the most part, then you need a bunch of guys who will do the dirty work.

Kobe is a scrub but I give him some props because of great D. He and T Mac are similar except Kobe plays D. Thing is he is way too selfish a player and thats why his team stinks!

He is just warming up for the post season. I guess you being a Dallas fan dont have a lot of love for Toine. I agree on Gp.. Gimme White Chocolate at the point. He cant play D but I like his steadiness.

Of course.. He is the key.. BTW are you sure it isnt gout? 🙂

Awesome player and nice guy!

Roja has it right about Spurs fans. My wife is from SA so we spend quite a bit of time there. I've never seen better fans.

Hell, I'm from Houston and was raised a Rockets fan and even I pull for the Spurs (when they're not playing the Rockets, of course). I'll have to admit, though, SA has MUCH better fans than Houston. Or most other cities for that matter.

Take care,
Jeff

Ahem.

BTW, after sitting on club seats on the 50 yard line, I don't think I can ever go to another football game unless I have the same (or impossibly better) seats.

Q

Duly noted. I couldn't have shouldered the burden of being an Eagles 😡 fan had I not been given box seats to two games this year. Until they get their act together, those seats are my sole purpose for being there.

Yes, good for the Redskins. I always liked Joe Gibbs

Typical fairweather fan. I almost wish we would have 3 more back to back bad seasons to shed all you bandwagonish Red Sox/ Yankees/ Lakers/ Heat/ Patriots/Eagles fan types and get back to what Philly football is really about. Namely loving our crappy teams almost as much as we love our crappy city.

On another note personally I thought it was great to see the Redskins improbable season of semi success come to a Seattle Seahawks scripted screeching halt today. And without Alexanders assistance no less.

Plus the Pat's playtime has passed till next preseason which puts me in a more pleasant place both emotionally and financially.

PS This is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated
PPS Alliteration is awesomely amusing at times
PPPS The NBA is lame

Just for the record.. only because you mentioned the heat..

I have been a heat fan since the inception of the team, this is a product of growing up in Miami. I still have my ticket stub to the Heats 1st home win EVER.. It was vs the Utah Jazz. Rory Sparrow baby!

To be fair lots of people are on the bandwagon due to Wade and Shaq.. I have been there since the beginning. Heck I taught my wife the Miami Dolphin fight song..

She sings it and it just cracks me up...It is good to have someone with a sense of humor..

Sadly my Miami Hurricanes couldnt pull it out for the Skins.. Taylor needs his head checked but he is a freakish athlete.

Yeah.. Next yr.. They still need to find a QB and Brunell surely isnt getting any younger.

GO BRONCOS!

They played well last night...finally get some attention for being good this year! If only they can avoid those damn Colts!
