I am thankful for even being in a place in life where I can apply to med school in the first place. Whether I get in this cycle or not, I have overcome a lot of stuff in my life to get here and I'm proud of myself for that. I'm also greatful for my 9 beautiful children, who have turned out to be/are growing up to be wonderful, caring people, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to be their mother. They have taught me so much about life and love.
I'm thankful for all the wonderful people who have encouraged me and mentored me when I told them of my intent to apply to medical school. I'm even thankful for the nay-sayers, b/c they just made me work a little bit harder toward my goal.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving, everyone; if anyone is alone today, I'm sending you a big mental hug and good wishes! Have fun, and the treadmill will still be there tomorrow (or Monday).
