Hii

i;m 3rd yr AMG.

How practical is it to read Harrison/Cecil/ book of same calibre during IM residency?

If not possible, what other resources do u guys use?

MY IM preceptor (south asian FMG) claims to read Harrison ,Cecil and BIG Robbins from med school days. He has an exceptional Basic science knowledge. He explains everything with basic science starting from cell/molecular level to gross level with relevant biochemistry and other basic science subjects.

i feel so stupid that i can barely remember basic science that i learned in last 2 yrs in med school.

Thanks

well i think we only need
to know the clinically relevant basic science facts!

just my opinion

for me i think reading the essentials of Cecil is very important not the text book

the text book can be a reference ....the text book contains a lot of rare diseases
I prefer to concentrate on the most important first cause these are the things which will help me the most with my patients!
may be am dump but this is my way of thinking!
