why? 🙁 I genuinely am just looking for a roommate to help bring costs down. I suppose I can go for the student host thing though too.

Well, when a person goes online and posts: "Let me know if ayone wants to share a hotel room..." they sort of invite some sarcastic responses like: "Sure! I don't have an interview, but I'll be there." or "Only if you take me out to dinner and make me feel special first." etc. etc. etc. 😛

I understand that you are asking sincerely, but you have the door wide open for sacrasm!

You can just say I'm your "constant companion" and I'll sit in the corner. It won't be weird. Actually, in one of my recent interviews, one applicant brought his dad along, and it wasn't weird at all. He spent most of the day chatting w/ the secretary. The Dean seemed especially nice to him too.

(Edit: OK, in case it wasn't absolutely clear, I was kidding. Stay w/ a student host...you'll want to make sure those Harvard med students are normal, right?)

HMS students are definitely normal. 😉 They are still trying to get more hosts, so I'm not sure if they have given the list to the admissions office, but its coming! Staying with a host is definitely an option for you and I suggest you take it! Vandy gives student hosts a blow-up mattress for the interviewee, so it won't be hardwood floor and its right across from the quad. good luck!
