Harvard - A "non-profit" organization????

I finally got my Harvard secondary and noticed they don't have to pay for shipping because they are a non-profit organization. WOW - Tell that to the people paying 35K to go there.

And don't forget the billion dollars they get given to them every year by NIH



I think I will open up my one non-profit organization.

If anyone wants to send me money you can do so. Just shoot me a pm.

Not to mention its multibillion dollar endowment. It's funny, I read an article on NPO universities and their accumulation of money. They actually violate common accepted NPO accounting practices by compounding their endowment. The article suggested that to meet these guidelines, harvard would have to cut its tutition by more than half!!! Of course they wont do it for various reasons.

BTW, I believe that NPOs pay for postage, just at a reduced rate.
