So I got a small envelope from Harvard today. The letter was postmarked 3/15/02. Surprised, excited, and scared, I opened it with my trembling hands... And guess what the letter says! An interview invitation! But I interviewed there--for both programs--early this year. What the h*ll!!! Anyone else has ever received a weird letter like this?

For me, I had scheduled an interview with them and I got a letter a couple days before my interview that they hadn't received my response yet and that I was invited for an interview. I called them up and they said sorry for the confusion. I would call them up but wouldn't worry about it. It seems that the interview coordinator is out on maternity leave so things haven't been very smooth.

I'm pretty sure they are done, yes. About a month ago, they told me that they'd stopped issuing interview invitations...

They also sent acceptance emails to HST people a few days ago, as Incendiary has informed us. So if you haven't received an HST email, you're... well, rejected. when you get the email interview offer...it says that a real offer in the form of a letter will be coming shortly. looks like some people got theirs very late. i still haven't gotten mine! oh well. i'm sure i'll get it after my rejection!!!
I never received my "official invitation" either. Just an email. I also never received the email confirmation that my file was complete, which they promised. The Harvard admissions office must be very disorganized.
