Hey CABroiler, I will be going to the revisit day this Friday as well.

Unfortunately, I don't have much more information to add. Harvard has definitely seemed less than organized (and maybe a little arrogant) in arranging and communication details for the revisit.

In any event, I'm under the impression that we will have a tightly scheduled day from about 8 am to 4/5 pm on Friday. Arranging a host can be done by calling the admissions office. I called last week and was given the name and email of my host -- I've communicated with him directly about dropping off luggage in the morning, etc.

I'm looking forward to the trip up to Boston, hoping it will help me make up my mind about next year. (I'm still deciding for anyone keeping track :) ).

Take care,

Boomboom

boomboom...so did u get another email from them or a packet or did u just call them? i tried calling them today and there was no answer..i was getting that same feeling about the ghettoness/arrogance about arranging details...anyways, see u there...

Hey CAbroiler,

I never received anything from Harvard in the mail about revisit (e.g., no packet). The last thing to come in the mail was the acceptance letter.

I did receive two emails. The first just gave the date of the revisit day as Friday, May 3rd. The second had a very tentative schedule for the day, and asked us to contact them to register if planning to attend. I got my host information when I called.

Did you receive both emails? If not, PM me and I can forward them to you.

See you Friday :)

Take care,

I'll see you guys there as well-- does anybody know what's the best way to take the T from logan to HMS? I remember somebody posting it way back when, but I haven't been able to find it.

Thanks ahead of time.

BOTS•••••From Logan to HMS by T:

* From the airport take an MBTA shuttle bus to the T station (Blue line).
* Take the inbound Blue train to Government Center (right after State).
* Switch to an inbound Green train, E line. (Take the E line, not B, C, or D. And take the inbound train. It will quickly become outbound after one stop, but don't be confused by this.)
* Get off at Brigham Circle (right after Longwood Medical Area).

The medical school is immediately on your right.

take bus #33 from the airport (that is the one that goes to the T)

the E line of the T might be down for construction (its closed before the stop for HMS but they will transfer you to a bus)

or you can take the D line to get to HMS (I don't remember where you get off <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> - it might be the Longwood stop  sorry, I have a terrible memory)

Walk toward the bridge and turn left onto the bridge/overpass.

I'm not sure the last post regarding the Green 'D' line is clear, so I will elaborate. . .

Regardless if you're inbound or outbound, disembark at 'longwood' and walk towards the large apartment complex that looks castle like and make a left when you are coming off the train. You'll follow the others as they walk about 50 meters up a hill and then make a left. From there you'll follow Longwood avenue all the way to the medical school. You'll pass Beth-Israel Hospital on the right (the temple will be on your left). Keep walking past the longwood ave/brookline ave. intersection and the medical school will be on your right about 100 meters after you pass Children's Hospital.

I hope this helps-- It'll take you to the quad.
Good luck!

•what are ppl wearing?•••••Oh, just the regular wifebeater, Incredible-hulk-esque tattered purple shorts, and the best perfume that street vendors have to offer. :)

Thanks to all of those with the directions. If I don't get there, I will personally seek you out and hunt you down. But hey.

See you guys soon.
