Harvard??

I designated Harvard on my primary AMCAS on the 14th of October. I still haven't got my secondaries and it turns out that the deadline for submitting the secondaries was 2 days ago. Shd I forget about Harvard?

I don't know about Harvard because I didn't apply there, but many schools have extended their deadlines this year due to the AMCAS mess. I think the AMCAS app site has a list of those schools. For a list of schools that take paper copies of AMCAS and those with on-line secondaries go to <a href="http://www.geocities.com/lvnh6791/paperamcas2002.htm" target="_blank">Drako's site.</a> This is not a year to sit around a wait for secondaries, or even, for that matter, for AMCAS to verify your application. Many schools have implemented alternative procedures due to AMCAS's general incompetence. You should find out what's up with each school you designated. Check their websites, and do a search on this site for lots of absolutely essential/very helpful info. I don't know what I would have done without this site to help me through this year's godawful application process!!

Harvard extended the deadline for submitting secondary applications until December 1st. It was originally November 15th, and then they moved it to the 22nd, and finally it's now at December 1st. I submitted mine about the same time you did, and I was verified a couple of weeks ago. According to AMCAS, Harvard downloaded my app about a week ago, but I still haven't heard a thing.

Considering the way things have been going this year, I'm not that surprized...

SMW, thank you so much. I just went to Drakos site. I found sec. application for harvard, filled it and submitted it. Thanks a bunch
