Hey, me and a friend are still waiting to hear back from Erie, but now we are thinking that they have sent out the acceptance letters already for our bunch of interviewees.

We are thinking that the rejection letters are coming later on for us after the acceptances are sent out. Has anyone been rejected already?

When I interviewed a couple weeks ago, they said they hold on to the letters for people who's applications are being held longer than the accept/reject letters. then again, they seem to be weeks behind, so who knows?

What do you mean? Do you mean like for the applicants who still hadn't had their LORs submitted?

That or maybe those who were waiting for their new MCAT scores from August.

She said that once our files went to committee, they would decide accept, reject, or hold. if we were accept or reject, we would find out in about three weeks, but she didn't really say if/when we would find out if we were on hold.

I know for LECOM-Bradenton they tell you whether you have been put on the alternate list as well. so wutever thats worth....

Was just there, and they said you would hear accept, reject or wait (until Jan for reeval) in about 4 weeks.

I'm concerned that LECOM is just holding onto the rejection letters too! I interviewed Sept. 22 and I stiiiiiiiil haven't heard a single thing? Does anyone know if they have been this late in previous years?

Honestly, I don't think there is any rhyme or reason to why some people have heard and others haven't. I dont think they would hold onto rejection letters and only send acceptances. Alot of things about this process make little sense, why would this be any different?

See what's wierd is, according to the acceptance thread, there are already quite a bit of people who have recieved their acceptance letter from LECOM. I interviewed sometime in Sept, we were the first interviewees!! and i still haven't heard anythin from them. Not sure what the deal is with them.

If it has been 2 months without hearing anything and I was interested in attending the school, I would call even if they said not to. That is an awfully long time to wait, they could have misplaced the notification because at some point there was only 1 person sending out the notifications.

Hey, im a third year from LECOM. I think i interviewed beginning of October and it took a good month to hear. I ended up calling them b/c i didnt know what was taking so long. Turned out they claimed they didnt have my LoR's which was b/c bs i had faxed them 2x...each time they kept saying they didnt have them. but anyways...they told me that i had a high chance of acceptance. so the next day i faxed the stuff again..and 24 hours later i got my acceptance. if u want to go....call them and make sure they know how interested you are....trust me it works.

mine hadn't been received when I got my interview invite. they were on their way there though. during our interview, they went through and told people what was missing from their files, and at least one or two were missing a letter.
