Has anyone filed FAFSA who is trying to match this year?

I am a 4th medical student trying to match this year.
Just in case I failed to match and failed to SOAP, I filed FAFSA for the next academic year. However, I did miss the priority deadline for my school.

1. What is the future implication for not meeting the priority deadline?
2. 8 people who ranked more than 11 programs failed to match last year. I cannot get my head around why those people failed to match. I was fortunate to interview at 13 places mix of good academic and community programs but my scores are definitely subpar......

Those 8 people probably were horrible at getting along with people and couldn't fake being normal for 1 day. Also they could've just ranked top programs without the goods.
