Has anyone heard of the Gates Cambridge Scholarship?

I'm currently finishing up my PhD in Cambridge (UK, not MA) as a Gates Scholar and am applying for med schools. Basically, I'm trying to assess what kind of candidate I am.

So... has anyone heard of this scholarship? Basically, its sorta a Rhodes Scholarship for Cambridge University instead of Oxford. I'm asking because its a very new program (3 years old), so it understandably doesn't have the prestige of the Rhodes or the Marshall yet. Also, I've been in the UK for the past 2 years, so I don't know if this scholarship has been promoted at various Universities in the states. I'm just wondering if its recognized in the states yet.

And incase anyone's wondering, its been an amazing experience so far...
