There is a question on AADSAS that asks "Has your education ever been interrupted or affected adversely for reasons other than deficiencies in conduct or academic performance?"

I did take 2 years off after graduating college before I started a post-bac program due to adverse family circumstances. Should I mention these in this section?

Def. appropriate to mention there :)

You could mention it there but to be honest, most schools don't bother to review it thoroughly. I spend a tremendous amount of time of my application trying to explain it since education interruption was a big factor of my academic failure. If not, the only factor that held me back earlier in my college career. But it seemed that most admission committees didn't bother reviewing that part of my application. Maybe not for other applicants but this was clearly the case for me.
