I took my bio exam and missed getting an A in the class by 2 questions (8 points). The questions were easy and I changed my answers. All my hard work for nothing. I want to start punching f'n holes in the wall. My school has whole letter grades so I get the same grade as someone that made an 80---bullsh**!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same thing happened to me last year. 89% for the course, B in the class w/ no +/-. The last question on the final was worth like 7% of the overall grade and I think I missed most of it.

Ah well, you gotta get over it and move on. A few B's aren't gonna hurt you much.

Sorry to hear that happened. I was in the same shoes when I received a lower grade for 0.25% deficit in my organic chemistry course.

One B will not significantly affect your chances of getting into dental schools. Keep your hard work, and you will be fine.

I made an 89.7 in orgo 1, turns out my professor deemed a 90.0 or higher an A, that was truly depressing

I once had a 93.3 for a class and the prof was saying 94+ was an A, so i ended up with an AB.... that HURT soooo much!

In calc an A is a 91.

I have an 89% now....my teach told me I need to get 100% to get an A in the Class....NO PRESSUE

Yep, I feel your pain. I had a class last semester where I had a 92.9 and needed a 93 for an A. I had a class this semester where I had a 90.9 and got a B.

Yep. Two years ago my orgo teacher made 84.5 an A. I had 84.38. How much did that SUCK? 😡

But you suck iot up and move on. No point in getting pissed about it. A few B's won't kill you or your GPA

oh yes, and then there was also the physics class I took that graded on a standard deviation curve, so my 93 in the class was bumped down to a B because of the standard deviation - I don't even think that's legal!

grow up people. one class is not going to change your GPA that much in the long run.

i am mad too because i am 4 points away from an A+. i have 96% after exam in zoology and that is not good enough for me. 😡 😡 😡

I have found that some profs are very adamant about sticking to the numbers. If they make an adjustment for one and it gets out, it can be a nightmare for them. At least on two occasions now, I have had a 89.9 in a class (no lie), and the prof wouldn't adjust me to an A-. One probably didn't care for me, but the other definitely did...she said, "I'm sorry, I just can't do anything about it." As much as I respect someone sticking to their guns, it doesn't make the pain any worse. It sucks getting a 3.3 instead of a 3.7 for the grade. Unfortunately, that has a more noticable impact on your science gpa since it is based on fewer credits. So, I feel the OP's pain.

relax man..i got a C in biology..and a couple others..i'm pretty sure that a B won't screw you over...in fact..i might add a couple more C's this semester (however, it is my last semester and i wouldn't recommend it before gettin accepted)

I have to get a 55% on my biochemistry final to get an A in the class. Its the ACS standardized exam. He does not curve grades either. I'm so freaking out! :scared:

In all seriousness I really only need a 55% :laugh:

Yeah...I probably had 25 bad classes...and Im in dental school.

One class (or two, three, etc...) will definitely not break you...loosen up and enjoy college.

well in my case ...i have under a 3.0 from my BS degree....so now i have to get A's in my pre-recs to compensate....do you think if i get b's it will be ok?

BECAUSE I JUST FOUND OUT THAT I GOT AN ~~~~A~~~~ IN THE CLASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG.....I CHECKED IQWEB AND THERE IT WAS...A BIG FAT A!!! After I saw it in the school computer lab, I jumped up smiling and did a little yell in the hall. It was the perfect ending to a hellish exam week....I was also happy to be done for the semester. WOW this was an extremely difficult class. I'm done rambling....I love you all. 🙂 🙂 😀 😀 😀 😀 🙂 🙂
