Do you think 12 programs for IM will be enough?

These IM programs range from medium to lesser competitive programs, bi-coastal.

According to the NRMP, for IM from last year, ppl who matched ranked between 7-8 programs. Ppl who didn't match ranked around 3. Chk out the following link:

As others have mentioned, 12 is plenty. I way over-interviewed for IM last year (went to 18) and in the end only ranked 11 of them. Unless you're a total f-up (failed your IM clerkship and got 180 on step 1), you should be just fine.
