Hi everybody,

I interviewed with them in September, and still have not heard back. I wonder if they accept in-state students first, and review the applications from us out of state applicants to fill the few remaining spots at the end of the cycle.

Anybody in the same boat? If you heard from them already, how much time after the interview did you get contacted?

Thanks for your input,

Chnobli

PS: By the way, I thought that this school was excellent.

I'm in the same boat. Unfortunately, that means I can't offer anything since I haven't heard either. I really liked it there too. Match results and board scores seemed good, and I actually like the idea of a large class. Thought the location was good as well. That was my first time to Indianapolis, and it seemed like a nice clean, safe downtown with a lot of green space. Also liked that it was on the IUPUI campus with students from other disciplines.

I interviewed on September 12 and my acceptance letter was dated October 15. I remember reading in one of their brochures that if you haven't heard something it just means your application is still being considered. Good luck and hopefully you'll hear from them soon.

I'm an in-stater, I interviewed on Jan.2, my file was complete in early february and I still haven't heard anything so I don't know what's going on either...

I don't think they look to fill the extra in-state spots with out-of-state applicants but I can't be sure on that. I know of a few out-of-state people who have been offered acceptances from my school. I'm pretty sure they're taken as two separate categories.

I'm out of state (but I think I get some special consideration because I attend school in Indiana).
I interviewed in mid-October, completed my application in mid-November (I forgot to send my transcript) and was accepted in mid-December. One of my friends interviewed on the same day, but she hasn't heard anything yet. I have since withdrawn from IU, so maybe one of you will get my spot. Good luck!

i'm an out-of-stater, too. i interviewed in january, and they tell me everyone should hear something by june 1st. apparently after your interview they give you a score based on your GPA, MCAT scores, and interview scores. they make a pile from highest score to lowest, and start at the top, making a decision on each application as they get to it. so basically you just have to sit tight and hope they get to your application (and like it) before they fill up the class. good luck!
