Hey all!

I've been leaning toward medicine for a few years but I'm realizing now that I might be more interested in Optometry.

I'm interested in studying in the US, but I'm from British Columbia, Canada. My top schools are UC Berkeley and UT Houston, and I'd love if you can tell me if you think I have a good chance of getting in, and what things I can improve on my application!

Science major.
3.75 GPA
Third year student (Applying after fourth year).
6 summers working in an optometrist's office.
Vision science related research project + publications.
OAT on practice tests: 350 (no official scores yet)
300-ish hours of volunteer work.

Ps: I just found this forum/thread so sorry if I'm missing information. Just let me know if you need to know more!

Also: What do you think would be an acceptable OAT score for admission to UC Berkeley? I've always wanted to move somewhere that isn't cold and having 3 feet of snow ;)

You'll never know unless you apply. I think you've got what it takes and a lot of Canadians apply to US schools.
