Hi guys:

I'll be moving down to Arizona soon for pharm school. I will need health care insurance and the school offers a plan at $2400/yr, I was just wondering if anybody have suggestions of insurance providers that have cheaper plans? 2400/yr seems pretty expensive, but there are so many insurance companies i don't even know where to begin looking!

Thanks!

I spend about $130 a month for a private Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois plan, and so, that's $1560 a year. It does have a fairly high deductible though.
My university's insurance policy is only active during the school year. When you are on break, it lapses unless you pay an extra premium. We have a in-house HMO, and so, it is cheap, if you go to the UIC clinics. It is $400 a semester.
