Certain school websites have indicated that:

"All admitted students must provide evidence that functional health is sufficient to meet professional demands, both in the student role and as an entry-level practitioner."

I was curious to know what the exactly entails. For example would an fully health individual who is an INACTIVE carrier of hepatitis B not be allowed admission? Thanks any help would be appreciated.

I dont know about Hep B, but there was a dental student with Hep C. He let the admission staff know, was admitted, and then kicked out prior to beginning third year with patients.

Supersucky for him.

I wonder if he was kicked out for reasons other than health. I think even those with HIV can still practice.

I believe people with HIV are protected by the american's disabilities act. So technically, they can park in the handicapped zones??? :meanie:
